Importing your FTX data to TokenTax using API or CSV

API

  1. In your FTX account, select the Settings cog in the top-right of the screen.

  2. Click the left menu button API and select the Create Read-Only API Key button.

  3. Enter your API Key and API Secret into TokenTax.

    1. Note: once you select CLOSE, you will be unable to view the API Secret. If you do not copy your API Secret at this step, you will have to start at step 2 again.

  4. CLOSE the new API Key.

    1. Ensure you created a Read-Only API key. This new API Key should be listed as "Read-only" in the Permissions column.

  5. Back in TokenTax, select the Submit button. TokenTax will begin importing your FTX data.

CSV

In most cases, TokenTax will need the "trades" and "funding" CSVs. Locate these two files and upload that to the Import Data page.

To additionally upload your FTX PnL CSV export:

  1. Click on your username and select PnL.

  2. Adjust the start time to the date you started trading.

  3. Click the Download CSV button and upload to the Import Data page.

Note: FTX limits CSV exports to 5,000 rows. If your transactions exceed this size, you can export multiple CSVs to ensure you're uploading all of your data
